Co-founder and Principal of Unified Systems, a sustainability consulting firm dedicated to projects that focus on bringing high performance and sustainability to the built environment. Jana launched the Sustainable Building Advisor (SBA) Program in San Francisco, a 9-month green building certification course for local professionals and the Sustainable SF International Exchange Program, a 5 day Immersion Program in sustainable building for international professionals; she is the Program Director and Instructor for both programs. Jana also performs sustainability consulting on projects that range from new and existing buildings to neighborhood developments. She sits on the board of the Sustainable Building Advisor Institute (SBAi), a Washington based nonprofit which manages the curriculum and exam for SBA Programs throughout the United States and Canada. She holds a BA in Urban Studies and Planning, is a Nationally Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, Certified Commissioning Process Provider, Licensed OSHPD Hospital Inspector, Certified Permaculture Designer and LEED Accredited Professional.
