Sustainable Building San Francisco is presented by Lifelong Education Institute and Unified Systems
Lifelong Education Institute™ is an educational institution dedicated to offering higher education and intercultural exchange through programs that cultivate lifelong learning, foster creativity and innovation, and instill an authentic appreciation for diversity and cultural differences. The goal of LEI is to improve the quality of life for all.
Lifelong Education Institute™ recognizes that the discovery, advancement, and application of knowledge should contribute to the protection of the environment, promote peace and understanding among peoples and nations, and nurture the wellbeing of individuals and families. Since its inception in 2008, Lifelong Education Institute™ has prepared more than 2,000 adults in lower division, undergraduate courses, for entrance into higher education programs in the biological and health sciences through its “Integrated Science Program®”.
Unified Systems is a sustainability consulting firm dedicated to projects that bring high performance and sustainability to the built environment. In addition to co-developing and coordinating the Sustainable Building San Francisco program, Unified Systems also launched and manages the Sustainable Building Advisor Program in San Francisco, a 9-month green building certification course that provides professionals with the tools to design, build and operate residential and commercial projects. Along with developing and coordinating professional training programs, Unified Systems also provides sustainability consulting and management for projects that range from new and existing buildings to neighborhood developments.
